Secure Services Intern, Cisco Systems, Aug 2008 - Jun 2009

Worked closely with another intern to build networks with specific vulnerabilities used to train network security engineers. Designed the team’s attack network--used to provide penetration testing services to clients. Deployed networks that adhered to internal lab and network policies. Created low-level design reports that documented team networks. Racked and stacked a variety of network equipment.

Programmer, Buydefinition.com, Nov 2007 - Feb 2008

Partnered with a graphic designer to build an e-commerce application for a young entrepreneur. Utilized the open-source e-commerce application OScommerce as a framework to build something customized to her needs. Negotiated with client to meet feature requests and deadlines.

Programmer Intern, Sony Online Entertainment, Feb 2007 - Apr 2007

Built a web-based test case management system to manage QA test cases for the upcoming massively multiplayer game DC Universe Online. Attended design meetings, met with QA testers to determine application features.

Personal Experience

President, IEEE Communications Society, UT Student Branch, Jan 2009 - May 2010

Scheduled officer meetings, assigned tasks to officers, acted as corporate liaison to host meetings on network security topics, and managed the society’s budget and logistics. Rebuilt the society after a two-year period of inactivity. Led a team of 6 students to win second place at the 2009 Southwest Collegiate CyberDefense Competition.
